ProFLAMENCO Founder

Dr. Mateo – musician, guitarist, composer, prize winner of many music compositions and Doctor of Medicine at the same time.

He shares his life with two biggest passion: human medicine and music. As far as music is concerned, Dr. Mateo is guitarist, composer, multi-genre musician, who puts his heart and soul especially into discovery of the art of flamenco as well as combining his songwriting style with electronic sounds. He graduated with honours from the second degree of the Tadeusz Szeligowski Music School in Lublin, in classical guitar class, under the direction of Professor Jacob Niedoborek. He is a prize winner of many national and international music competitions, and multiple scholarship holder for his artistic activity.

He’s been perfecting his play through attending masterclasses with such artists as: Jacek Królik, Aniello Desiderio, Pavel Steidl, Carlos Piñana, Jorge Castañeda, Paco Seco, Rainer Maria Nero, Andrea de Vitis, Łukasz Kuropaczewski, Finn Svit. He has performed lots of times as a soloist, chamber musician, and featuring such artists as Robert Horna, Krzysztof Pełech, Leszek Potasiński, Piotr Restecki, Carlos Ronda Mas, Oscar Antoli. He has recorded for the Radio and TV as well.

Currently he forms ProFLAMENCO Trio together with Jacob Niedoborek and Rainer Maria Nero and focuses also on his solo career as a composer, songwriter and instrumentalist.
